Efficient Use of Beacons for Buffs and Orientation
Beacons are powerful blocks in Minecraft that can grant players nearby strong status effects. Besides the buffs, they also serve as practical landmarks in the world.
How to use beacons optimally:
- Crafting a beacon: You need a Nether Star, 3 obsidian blocks, and 5 glass blocks. The Nether Star is the key and is dropped by Withers.
- Building a tower: Construct a pyramid base from iron, gold, diamond, emerald, or netherite blocks. The larger the pyramid (up to 4 layers), the stronger buffs you can activate.
- Selecting buffs: Activate effects like speed, jump boost, regeneration, or strength by feeding the beacon block with a desired ingredient (e.g., iron ingot, gold ingot).
- Strategic placement: Build beacons in central locations such as bases or important paths so that you and your teammates always benefit from the buffs.
- Orientation aid: The light and visible beam of the beacon are also clearly visible at night or from a great distance, helping you navigate the world better.
With a well-placed beacon, you can improve your chances of survival by running faster, jumping higher, or regenerating. Additionally, it makes navigating large worlds easier, allowing you to return to important locations more quickly.
