Using RemoteEvents correctly for Client-Server communication

In Roblox, scripts run on the server or the client. To enable them to communicate with each other, you use RemoteEvents. This way, for example, you can send actions from the player (client) to the server and vice versa.

Here's how:

  1. Create RemoteEvent: Create a RemoteEvent in the ReplicatedStorage folder that both server and client can access.
  2. Server listens: Write a script in ServerScriptService that listens to the event and reacts to messages from the client.
  3. Client sends: In a LocalScript, you can fire the RemoteEvent to send a message to the server.
  4. Server responds: Optionally, the server can use another RemoteEvent or the same one to reply to the client.
  5. Consider security: Always validate the data on the server before using it to prevent unwanted actions.

With RemoteEvents, you can communicate safely and easily between client and server – perfect for advanced scripting!

-- Script im ServerScriptService
local ReplicatedStorage = game:GetService("ReplicatedStorage")
local RemoteEvent = ReplicatedStorage:WaitForChild("MeinEvent")

RemoteEvent.OnServerEvent:Connect(function(player, nachricht)
    print(player.Name .. " sagt: " .. nachricht) -- Message from client
RemoteEvent:FireClient(player, "Server hat deine Nachricht erhalten!") -- Reply to client
end)
